Mr. Trevor- Senior counselor- Trevor is a sophomore in college studying Chemical engineering. In his free time he loves to rock climb and run. Ask him about his most amazing rock climbing story and you’ll be in for a treat!

Miss. Becky- Senior Counselor-This is Miss.Becky’s 5th year as a counselor, she loves the conservancy so much she’ll probably be a counselor until she’s 90 years old. If you know Miss Becky, you know about her love for minions and singing camp songs. She is super excited for another spectacular year at camp filled with silly dances and crazy animal impressions. Miss. Becky graduated from Towson University with a degree in early childhood education with hopes of getting her masters in environmental education!

Miss. Julia-Senior Counselor- Julia is entering her 7th year at camp! She has risen through “the ranks”, from camper, to junior counselor, and finally, to senior counselor! And she is very excited to experience camp differently this time around.

Miss. Nicole- Senior counselor- This is Miss. Nicole’s second year at Howard County Conservancy’s Summer Nature Camp! She works with the oldest group of campers and enjoys nerding out with them about environmental and earth science. She has one tabby cat named Pumpkin, and her hobbies include photography, baking and watching Dr. Who! Miss. Nicole is looking forward to a fun summer of exploration and discovery, along with archery and hiking.

Miss. Annie-Camp intern- Annie is a rising sophomore at Amherst College in Massachusetts. During her time there she is studying geology, playing lacrosse, and exploring the beautiful outdoors! In her free time Annie enjoys doing fun exercises with her friends, spending time at the beach with her family, or relaxing at home with her two Labrador retrievers.

Mr. Jonathan-Camp Intern- Jonathan is an Environmental Science and Technology major at the University of Maryland: College Park. Outside of the classroom, he loves to garden, parkour, and rock climb. Don’t be surprised if he’s singing a number from a musical, and feel free to talk to him about your favorites!

Miss. Madhu-Camp Intern- Madhu just finished her first year of college at Hampshire College where she studies environmental journalism and film. She loves to hike and identify new bugs and plants!
 Miss. Georgie- Camp Intern- Georgie just finished her first year at St. Mary’s College, where she is double majoring in English and Environmental Studies. She is a professional coffee drinker, nature lover, and dog petter. In her spare time, she loves to write, listen to music, and make art.
Mr. Jordan- Camp Intern- Jordan is a rising junior at the University of Maryland studying Environmental Science and Technology. At school, he is a member of the Mighty Sound of Maryland Marching Band as well as the UMD Pep Band. Outside of school, he enjoys bicycling, camping, and, of course, watching Netflix. Jordan loves learning about the planet we call home, and he hopes to share this interest with as many as people possible this summer!.

Miss. Ashley-Camp Director (Mt. Pleasant)- has been at camp her whole life and has worked as staff at 5 camps in different parts of the country.  She loves to design camp-wide games, encourage citizen science investigation, and connect campers to the natural world!  This is her sixth summer with Conservancy Camps and she is so excited to meet new campers and welcome back returning campers!

Miss. Lorna- Camp Director (Belmont)-This is Miss Lorna’s second summer as the Belmont Camp Director. She is a super naturalist nerd and spends her time trying to identify any critter she can find. She is a SCUBA diver and previous shark surgeon with a love of photography and coffee. She loves investigating streams with campers and planning clever geocaching adventures to test their skills!
