Wander Like Pooh in Our 100-Acre Wood- Program full

September 9, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am

Free

Unfortunately, this popular program is already full. We hope to see you at another event!

Hike, art and storytelling!  Join Conservancy naturalist Lisa Schlossnagle on this Winnie-the-Pooh themed family hike. After reading “In Which Piglet Meets a Heffalump” at the children’s garden/stump playground, we will use our senses to observe signs of possible Heffalumps on the trail, stopping along the way to sketch both the nature before them and the Heffalump habitat they imagine. Bring your own sketchbooks and drawing tools.

*Please register early to ensure your spot! Check website if weather is chancy. Unfortunately this outdoor event will be cancelled in the case of rain.

Lisa Schlossnagle has enjoyed 15 years of supporting elementary education through her work as a general educator, science educator, and community volunteer. She has served the Howard County Conservancy as a volunteer naturalist and education assistant. Lisa co-founded HowGirlsCode, a local nonprofit providing computer science after school programs and summer camps to elementary school girls in Howard County.
