Save the Birds: Bird-friendly Skies & Windows
September 14 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pmFree
Since forever, birds have been migrating and feeding themselves using their incredible instincts and biological gifts. Human progress has created immense urban light islands and transportation arteries that fill the night time skies with distracting lights, disrupting migration paths. Commercial and residential buildings are sheathed in reflective glass, which are not understood by bird vision, causing impact collisions. There are so many things we can do – some SO simple – to mitigate the significant decline in our songbird populations. See some installed solutions, and learn what you can do at little expense to save our birds!
