Repair Café: Bring It – Let’s Fix It!
December 14 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Learn how to repair broken stuff with “experts” form Transition Howard County. Repair Cafés are free meeting places where you work with skilled volunteers, tools and materials to to help you make any repairs you need – in clothes, furniture, electrical appliances, bicycles, crockery, appliances, toys, et cetera. If you have nothing to repair, you can enjoy a cup of tea or coffee. Or you can lend a hand with someone else’s repair job. You can also get inspired at the reading table – by leafing through books on repairs and DIY.
Nine years ago, Martine Postma organized the first Repair Café. Dozens of residents brought their broken items to a theatre in Amsterdam. Now there are over 1,600 Repair Cafés in 33 countries, spread across six continents. Transition Howard County began the pop-up Repair Cafes several years ago – and they are here to help you. C’mon over!
