SOLD OUT: Best Places Across Maryland to Experience Nature – Hiking, Cycling and Paddling / FREE

February 8, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Unfortunately this popular program is sold out. We hope you can join us for another upcoming program.

A lifelong Maryland outdoorsman and a retired Biology professor, Bryan MacKay will share his love of outdoor activities and his knowledge of the places, plants, and animals of the region.  Author of books on hiking, canoeing, and cycling, Mackay will talk about the natural history and ecology of his favorite places and the best seasons to experience them yourselves.   After the presentation pick up a copy of a “bucket list” of 30 nature-places to visit in the County and practices to adopt for a sustainable environment – an activity supporting the Conservancy’s 30th Anniversary. Bryan MacKay’s book will also be available for purchase and signing.

Bryan MacKay is a senior lecturer emeritus in the Department of Biological Sciences at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. He is the author of Hike MarylandCycle Maryland and Paddle Maryland as well as A Year Across Maryland: A Week-by-Week Guide to Discovering Nature in the Chesapeake Region and Baltimore Trails: A Guide for Hikers and Mountain Bikers.
