Outreach Programs

The Conservancy offers traveling educational programs for schools, community groups and local organizations. Outreach programs are designed to help connect people to the natural world and can be adjusted meet your needs. Program sessions typically range from 45-55 minutes and work best with groups of 60 or less. Please view the flyer for additional program details including curriculum alignment.

Outreach Programs Offered:


Outreach Flyer 2017-2018 updated Monarch Butterflies: Grade 3chrysalis
An interactive program that discusses the Monarch Butterflies physical traits, life cycle, survival strategy, behavioral traits and more! $100/session

Owl – Single or Double: All ages
Meet the Conservancy’s non- releasable Barred Owl, Eastern Screech Owl, or both! During a general program, participants learn about the unique features and adaptations, hunting techniques and the habitat requirements of owls.  $200 for two 45-minute sessions for either Barred or Eastern Screech Owl; $300 for BOTH owls.

Chesapeake Bound: Grades 2-5katrina2
Explore the impact humans have on animals and the environment and meet one of the Conservancy’s Diamondback Terrapin. $100/session

Herptiles and Habitats: Grades 2-5maize
Learn about the unique features, adaptations, and habitats of different reptiles and amphibians in Maryland and meet two of the Conservancy’s herptiles. $150/session
